Please Join Us for a Special Final Performance of The Ding Ho Reunion  25 Years of the Best of Boston Comedy on Sunday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. - A Portion of the Proceeds to Benefit City of Hope Cancer Center in Support of Ding Ho Alumna Lauren Dombrowski

Performers to include Steven Wright, Jim Morris, Chance Langton, Fran Solomita, Martin Olson (on piano), with host Jimmy Tingle, and many other Ding Ho alumni.

Back in the days of the Ding Ho, few women in Boston were performing comedy. Lauren Dombrowski was among the few. While Lauren is currently involved with a battle against breast cancer, she maintains her high spirits, and expects to beat it.

Lauren Dombrowski, originally from Lynnfield, MA is a graduate of Emerson College where she first developed her comedy chops with the likes of with Denis Leary and Mario Cantone in the "Emerson Comedy Workshop." After graduating she became a stand-up comic in Boston, opening for and working with such comedy legends as Lenny Clarke, Barry Crimmins, Jimmy Tingle and Steven Wright. Every few years she would "retire" from show business due to excessive stage fright, but always felt compelled to return.

She was a member of David Cross' "Cross Comedy" and, in addition to performing, wrote and directed sketch comedy. After a year of writing, performing in and producing comedy shows in New York City, she was hired to work on Roseanne Barr's ill-fated sketch comedy show, "Saturday Night Special." After it was cancelled, she was immediately picked up to work on Fox's Mad TV, where she started as a staff writer and is now a Co-Executive Producer.

She recently appeared in Fran Solomita's "When Stand Up Stood Out," about the reign of Boston comedy in the 80's, and performed in Trio's critically acclaimed mini-series "Pilot Season." She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Marko, four dogs, a cat and her beloved horse, Lacey. Lauren will not be attendance in Somerville at the Dec. 19 show, but will join her Ding Ho comrades with a taped message videotaped from L.A.
